The last days of summer are approaching
However, the best days for getting outside and running or walking are just beginning!
In Saint Louis, our summer has been blistering hot! I was greeted with 80 degrees on my 6am runs.
I don’t do well with this hot summer weather so I am excited for fall. I love watching the changing leaves during my excursions.
Plus, if you are wanting to lose some weight a running and walking plan is the way to go!
So I thought, wouldn’t it be great if I can get some people to join me in some sort of fall challenge.
We don’t have to run together, in fact, I love doing my workouts alone, yet we can still support each other and we don’t even need to live nearby!
So, these are my thoughts:
1. Pick a date: November 7, 2010 it is a Sunday and a perfect time to train and challenge ourselves.
2. Pick your length: 1 mile, 3 mile, 5 mile or 6 mile or whatever you think will stretch you physically.
3. Pick a course: You will need an outdoor course and an indoor alternative.
4. Follow the training program that I am going to outline.
5. Go to http://www.dontbreakthechain.com so we can all be accountable. (More on that later)
6. Start moving and logging your miles, feelings and thoughts.
Each day I will detail each of the steps in this blog post. I thought that below the blog posts we can comment on our miles and how we feel.
When you complete the challenge (which I have total faith that you will) I am going to give you a PRIZE!
